Our most unique adventure—spend the night at our campsite on Folgefonna Glacier after a half day of dogsledding.

Join us for a two-day experience on Folgefonna Glacier. Spend the night in our unique campsite after an exciting half day of dogsledding across the glacier. Includes dinner, breakfast, and hot beverages, with all the necessary warm clothing and sleeping equipment provided.

Inclusions:

  • Half-day dog sledding experience

  • Overnight stay at the campsite on Folgefonna Glacier (tents, double bed, pillow, warm duvet, etc. provided)

  • Traditional Norwegian dinner, breakfast, and hot beverages

  • Warm clothes and boots for loan

This two-day tour offers an adventure unlike any other. Glide across Norway’s third-largest glacier on a dogsled, then unwind with a warm dinner and hot drinks at our glacier campsite. The night is spent in traditional Scandinavian tents, surrounded by reindeer skins and the warmth of an open fire. The peaceful, remote setting of Folgefonna makes this a truly special escape into nature.

  • Meet Our Huskies: The connection you’ll form with the huskies during this tour is one of a kind. As you traverse the snowy trails, you’ll build a bond with these amazing dogs—one that often leaves guests smitten!

  • Unique Glacier Campsite: Our traditional campsite atop Folgefonna Glacier is a step back in time. The Scandinavian tents, reindeer skins, and open fires offer a glimpse into how people once lived in this Arctic region.

Practical information:

  • Price: from 6900 NOK per person

  • Duration: 20 hours

  • Availability: Daily departures 15.00 May - July

  • Age limits: Recommended from 3 years old. NB: the tour starts with a 30 minute hike up to our camp.

  • Meeting Time and Place: We start just outside the entrance to Fonna Glacier Ski Resort, with a 30-minute walk to the camp.

  • Please note: A toll fee applies for accessing the resort. The toll road is owned by Jondal Municipality, costing 100 NOK per vehicle. This fee includes parking and helps maintain the road.

What to Bring:

  • Warm clothes (wool base layers, warm jacket, wool sweater, etc.)

  • Sunglasses

  • Warm boots and socks

  • Sunscreen

  • Warm gloves and hat

Weather conditions on Folgefonna Glacier can change quickly. Be sure to bring sufficient warm clothing, as well as sunscreen and sunglasses, to ensure your comfort and safety.
